Acropolis Greek Taverna - Riverview is one of our favorite stops in the Riverview area for Greek cuisine. It is the standout restaurant in the heart of the Winthrop Town Centre area. The Greek art is blended into the architecture style and so brings a perfect atmosphere for relaxation, Birthdays, or Date Nights. The food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. We recommend the grilled octopus; we tried it in our latest visit and it was perfectly made...tender and juicy. The service is always quick and professional; shout-out to Kelli who was super friendly and attentive. Another plus is that they feature a middle eastern dancing artist on the weekends. We had the luck of catching a performance one time and she was great!

We were able to see the dancer! She was amazing! Our server took excellent care of us and was super friendly. The food was delicious! I highly recommend Acropolis!
Downgraded! Having trouble finding nutrition info on the website. To go order last Friday - falafel wrap was too spicy (indigestion) and chicken gyro (excellent). Same problem with roasted vegetables (sometimes too spicy) - chef inconsistency. Downgraded to 4*. We greatly enjoyed our lunch today - my first and my wife’s third experience. The atmosphere is delightful, the hours convenient, and the parking plentiful. Lyla took excellent care of us. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and cheerful. We selected the Chicken Gyro Wrap (outstanding), Falafel Wrap (nice flavors), the Hummus (with warm and fresh pita bread) of course, which is smooth and flavorful, plus a side of Roasted Vegetables (too spicy) and a side of Greek Potatoes (fabulous). Thanks to Lyla and Acropolis for a very nice dining experience.
The place is spacious, clean, and very pleasant, as is the service. The food is delicious, and the prices are fair for the portion sizes, which are more than adequate. The only comment was on a plate of fried calamari, which we felt could have been crispier and with a bit more seasoning.
The waiter Noah was very friendly, he was patient while we waited for our party. He also us with our coupon and how to use it.The cheese appetizer that was flambeed was down very well.The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu. The belly dancing was done taste fully, happy no plates were broken during the dance of the staff. The food was truly worth it, felt like I was in Greece.Nice place to take our company, our family .
Gone a few times and I can't say anything negative about my experiences. Always meet up with a couple of friends or more, and we usually order a variety of things so that we can all sample. Most everything we've had has been pretty good to great. Always go off peak hours, either late lunch or early dinner, so I can't comment on what it's like when it's packed. But our service has always been good, food comes out fairly quickly, drink a couple of their cocktails or beers, and we leave happy.
Our server Edison was fantastic. The grilled octopus is my wife’s favorite and never disappoints. You could never go wrong with a gyro wrap at lunch or the gyro platter at dinner. Been coming here for years, and will continue to come back whenever we got a hankering for Greek food
